We’re trying this again…. We have been going back and forth about different ways to restart this whole long-distance, photo-adventuresque ”thing” for a couple of months now.
Cheesy as it seems, I thought why not try holidays. October, November, and December all have major holidays…and some rather bizarre ones as well. I posted the idea on the groups ol’ spacebook page and most seemed to like to idea.
So here we go….again.
This first theme will be “October Holiday or Significant Event.”
Pick a holiday (or other significant event) that occurs during the month of October and take a picture to capture your best interpretation of it.
If it’s a bizarre/wacky holiday please provide SOME reference so we don’t think you just made up a day…like “I Lost My First Tooth” day.
You could also pick something that occurs during the whole month, like October is cookie month….Or October being Breast Cancer Awareness month….Or something else that is a Monthly event.
The deadline for posting will be October 31, if you decide to participate.

So I’ve been meaning to post this photo since before it was due. I already had it taken, how hard is it to post? Apparently harder than you might think. So here it is. Super late.
These are my kittehs, Dobby and Hedwig. Sometimes they hate each other, other times they are very cute and take naps next to each other.
Hello? It has been so long and none of us have updated. I have several failed attempts at Dino pictures before I got this one.
In the group defense, it did take me a while to find them, they are extinct after all.

I think this will make Rob very happy.
He has begged for this challenge for months, and here it is. Dinosaurs. They are cute, they are cuddly and some of them will eat your face. Have fun!
Here is my pinhole shot. I took a pinhole camera out and shot a roll of film, however it is still at the lab that I sent it to, and will be for a few more days.
This little bunny rabbit was sitting on my grandmothers table Easter Sunday so I decided to take a shot of it using the Pinhole camera on my iPhone.

Not really as involved as I wanted to get with this one, but things picked up so I didn’t have much free time. Anyway, there is this little club/bbq restaurant near where I live. They have this giant 8-ball outside and I thought that would be perfect for the “Pinprick of Light” theme. I got a chance to talk to the owner and found out it is actually a functioning grill they sometimes use for events….and by “talk to” I mean he came out while I was taking the picture and asked what the hell I was doing.
I think I’ll try this again at night when they have the lights plugged in.
Since I didn’t have much time, I just used my pinhole lens cap for my SLR.
